Emanuel Swedenborg—Exploring a “World Memory” Context, Content, Contribution
In June 7–9 the Center for History of Sciences hosted a symposium on Emanuel Swedenborg. The symposium marked the conclusion of a research project at the Center 2007–2009.
The symposium was broadcasted live on the internet, and will later be available for downloading.

Going Digital – Nobel Symposium on Digitization
In June 24–26 the Center for History of Sciences together with the National Library of Sweden and the Office for History of Science at Uppsala University arranged a Nobel Symposium (#147) on Evolutionary and Revolutionary Aspects of Digitization. The program and abstracts are available at the link below.

The Future of Scientific Heritage
December 12th the Center will host a Symposium on The Future of Scientific Heritage. A group of international experts will share their experiences from working in this field as well as their views on the future of this often neglected part of our cultural heritage.

Future Proof IV – International scientific archives conference
The Center hosted the fourth international CASE conference in April 23–25, 2008. The conference is regularly organised by Cooperation on Archives of Science in Europe (CASE).

Swedenborg project
The Center has been granted funds to pursue a cataloguing project of its Swedenborg archives. Assistant Professor Maria Berggren of Uppsala University is responsible together with staff from the Center to complete the project.
